Week 2: 24 – 28 August
Session 1 – Monday 24 August
An introduction to jazz improvisation is for woodwind and brass players who have reached a standard of at least Grade 3 on their instrument, but who have no experience of jazz improvisation.
Session 2 – Tuesday 25 August
The first 2 sessions will cover rhythm, phrasing, style, and the all important question – “how do I know what notes to play?!”
Session 3 – 26 August
The 3rd session will be live and interactive, and give the participants the chance to share what they have learned (if they want to!)
