Surrey Arts county ensembles
County level ensembles are run by Surrey Arts, and can offer more advanced players, singers and performers the opportunity to develop their existing talents to a higher level.
Ensemble members are offered the chance to tackle an exciting and challenging repertoire, perform regularly in major concert halls throughout Surrey and take part in high profile concerts in prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Festival Hall.
Additionally, most ensembles undertake overseas concert tours every other year. In recent years groups have visited or are planning to visit Barcelona, Venice, Prague, Vienna, Berlin, Washington DC and New York.
Membership of County level ensembles requires commitment and hard work but it enables members to develop their artistic skills to a high degree, sometimes leading to higher educational courses, whilst enjoying the social side to the regular weekly rehearsals.
There is an annual charge for membership of the county ensembles, currently £86 per term (2019-2020).
Apply for membership. Please read our Ensemble Membership Information before applying.
