Primary Music Festival Concerts

The Primary Music Festivals are a highly regarded event in the school calendar with close to 100 schools taking part each year in celebration of children’s singing and music making!
The Festival concerts have been running for over 25 years and produce magical evenings for primary school children to come together and sing as one large choir in front of packed audiences in Surrey venues such as Dorking Halls.
Quote: Absolutely superb! And what do they say? ‘We had fun’, ‘We love singing.’ It’s wonderful to see so much energy in one place. – Mark Nuti – County Councillor, Surrey Borders Festival 2022

The 2024 Festival concerts will feature songs from music theatre and a selection of some of Lin Marsh’s most-loved songs for young voices. We also welcome back our regular team of musicians for the accompanying band. All concerts are evening events preceded by a group rehearsal on the concert day.
Applications for 2024 open soon and scores will be made available from mid-November. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t delay — join us at one of our 9 events for schools in the following areas:

Quote: My choir is fairly new to the Primary School Music Festival experience, as we took part in it for the first time last year, but it is the highlight of our singing calendar! My overall experience can only be described as ‘wonderful!’ There are so many positives to list: the repertoire, which was inspirational, fun and engaging; the atmosphere, which was joyful – I was moved to tears by the delight on the children’s faces and the incredible sound they made and the buzz and obvious enjoyment from the audience was amazing . . . . I love that the event makes singing accessible to all. We all loved it! – Susan Lee, The Weald CofE School, Dorking
